Our weekly radio shows have been a wonderful, exciting experience. We just love going on the air knowing that we are touching lives every week. We recently learned that Edge radio has an estimated audience of 20,000 monthly listeners.
It’s so amazing to think that we have the opportunity to reach so many people. Edge radio is a unique Christian radio station in the Philippines. We play mostly songs that appeal to the youth and the lost so our shows mix contemporary Christian songs with inspirational talk.
My most recent question and topic of the night was, “Do you believe Jesus is coming soon, and are you ready?” I received some interesting live replies from people saying, “Yes I believe, but no, I don’t think I’m ready.” I made a point to end the show with a prayer of salvation for those who were unsure. I pray and believe many received Jesus from that show.
We also have a unique chance to influence the volunteers at the radio station. Many of the deejays are still teenagers and young adults with many questions about life. This week we spoke to them about having godly relationships and shared our relationship testimony with them at the Valentines Day party. They received us well and treated us with so much respect. We are thankful that we are not just influencing the listeners, but also the volunteers and leaders of the radio station.
We sincerely love all the people at Edge radio and are so blessed to be a part of this great ministry.
